Cottage right on the lake, great beach and fishing. Oh yeah, they are also dog friendly.

Hall's set us up with a beautiful unservived campsite for the night. Short notice didn't matter and Canadian hospitality was in full effect. Back outhouses needed some upkeep but the rest was great.

Conveniently located right outside of Parry Sound, this campground is in a gorgeous mixed forest of mature trees surrounded by lake waters. One of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever seen, featuring squirrels and blue jays and autumn leaves everywhere. The owner/caretaker was very friendly and helpful. The one big inconvenience is the absence of a dump tank. The caretaker was kind enough to lend us a 20-gal. plastic tank on wheels to dump into. The idea is to pull this tank up the hill using your vehicle, then lift it to bench height in the designated outhouse, and dump out into the seat hole. Alternately, Instead of using your RV bathroom, you could go to one of the many reasonably clean outhouses or use the free shower. There is no sign at the camp ground entrance. The office area could benefit from a clean-up. The roads are rough, and some of the wooden signs that direct you to campsites are broken or weathered beyond legibility. There is a beautiful sandy beach with a swim dock and swing sets that probably had swings once. Our campsite had a nice picnic table and stone fire pit with grill, but oddly enough they were located on the wrong side of our camper! Garbage was left at several sites which became scattered or was left in the fire pits. The infrastructure is generally old and in need of repair, but this didn't bother us since miraculously, the power and water worked well all weekend. It is very peaceful here except for some traffic noise from Hwy 400. Many of the sites are right on the lake, ideal for canoeing and fishing. There are also a number of tent sites. We were visited by a gentleman who told us that the campground is coming under new management who plans to fix up the place. This is wonderful news, because we have rarely seen a campground with so much potential.
